The Equal Opportunity Cell of the College ensures that all students are treated as equal and attempts to address deep-seated inequalities in our system it also guides weaker section students to avail of all permissible scholarships and financial assistance and other facilities and privileges. The disadvantaged groups are SCs, STs, women, OBC (non-creamy layer), minorities and physically challenged persons. It is clear from the demographic factors that a large section of population of our country is still disadvantaged and marginalized. Our University has always ensured that physically challenged and other weaker sections students do not get left behind in the learning process. Teachers pay more attention to their special needs and provide them more encouragement and support by conducting special classes for them after college hours. Also, the College makes it their prerogative to provide scribes for the disabled students during tests and exams. The University/Colleges addresses the issues of the weaker sections under 3 different cells. The Women’s Cell address issues of gender discrimination. The SC/ST monitoring Cell addresses the issues of they SC/ST students. The Disability cell monitors the issues of physically challenged students.
